Since this has become such a big fuss in the public’s eye, I thought it was worth mentioning…

It seems that the question Perez (an assumed openly homosexual man) gave to Miss California was not very complicated. It seems as if the obvious answer to the question about what Miss California thought about legalizing Gay Marriages would be simple. She should have given a “people-pleaser” answer if she really wanted that crown. But oh, God forbid she actually has a different opinion than what society has been trying to push upon us lately (actually for a while now)…

(Here is something i wrote a little while back, just wanted to post it up and hear your thoughts…)

Prophetic message is progressive
i. Its transforms gradually as changes take place in history
ii. Bound together by one spirit and revealing one revelation.
iii. We’re moving along on a continuum and there is an end…

This is a little part of my notes from my Hebrew Prophets class and as I was studying for my test I couldn’t help but stop here and think about this, and I just wanted to share my thoughts with you all…

First of all it is important to note that God is always the main figure of the prophetic message (This is known as Theocentric)

Every prophet’s message was about God and how much humans need God and salvation. It’s not about humans, it’s about God! Even when you read the prophetic judgments against Israel or Judah, there is always a promise of salvation. How beautiful it is to know that even though God’s people were screwing up big time and turned to idol worship…God was still faithful.

Isn’t it interesting that while God’s people were idolaters, they were committing adultery against God? As the covenant people they were supposed to remain faithful to God and His commands and in return they would be God’s adopted children and they would be protected, secure, and peaceful. This was very much a covenant relationship like marriage. If a married person lies with another person whom is not their spouse, they are adulterous, so in the same sense if a believer turns to other “gods”, they are adulterous in their covenant relationship with God.

The Dr. Phil Show March 31, 2009

So, I went to the Dr. Phil show just last week with my Marriage and Family class. The show was about Hormones and the importance of having right hormonal balance when you get older. I won’t get into the details about that because that’s not what is important to me (At least not for now).

Anyways, What my short little topic is about is my friend Joey. After the show, Dr.Phil came out for a little Q&A session (which he never does, it was all a set-up) and eventually he called on my friend Joey. Joey got up and basically read lyrics to his girlfriend from their favorite song. Then he got down on one knee and proposed to her. They make a beautiful couple and I just want to say that i was freaking out the whole time because he told me before the show even started that he was gonig to do this. I’m so happy for them! =)

So, what my question to you readers is: How do you personally think you will know when it is the right time to propose to someone or when is it the right time to be proposed to? Do you have expectations of a certain amount of years before you can get engaged or things like that? Also, what is your ideal or dream proposal (location, time of day, how it’s done…etc) I REALLY want to hear what you all have to say!…
